Briton has over 27 years of experience managing large scale construction projects in General and Mechanical contracting for the US Federal Government. These projects have primarily focused on power, utility, water and wastewater systems in an industrial environment on active military installations throughout the Continental United States. He also has experience in the planning and execution of facility shutdowns and outages with minimal impact on the owner. Briton graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1992.

David graduated from the Building Construction Program at Virginia Tech in 1993 and began with MEB upon graduation. He specializes in water and wastewater treatment plants and complex industrial and food processing projects. David has significant experience as a Project Executive on Fast Track Design-Build projects and is a DBIA-Certified Professional. David has completed projects under design-bid-build, design-build, PPEA, and CMAR delivery platforms. Previous Design-Build projects include water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, water/wastewater conveyance systems, and industrial and food service plant expansions. Previous projects have been completed for HRSD, City of Richmond, Smithfield, Norfolk Southern, Philip Morris, United States Navy, and the Army Corps of Engineers.

Mr. Wade has a vast array of experience gained from 34 years in the construction arena. Beginning as a summer laborer on roadway projects, he spent ten years in the field, training and working as a foreman, superintendent, and project engineer. Don reached a position of management quickly and broadened his experience to include commercial, industrial and tunneling work with a heavy focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities. Don oversees all of the work managed from MEB’s Richmond Office.

George earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. He has over 37 years in the construction industry, including 6 years at Kenbridge Construction while in school before founding MEB General Contractors in 1982. In addition to his administrative duties as president of MEB, he works closely with project managers to ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules.

Mark is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has been with MEB since 1983. He began as a quality control representative progressing to a project manager on projects for the Navy and Army Corp of Engineers. As current Vice President his duties include oversight of personnel, estimating, scheduling, management, administration, business development, and strategic planning. Mark has extensive experience in municipal, commercial, industrial, water treatment, and specialty construction with a primary focus on Design Build projects. Mr. Olmstead is Past District President for the Associated General Contractors of Virginia, member of the State of Virginia Board of Directors for the AGC, a certified LEED AP, and the Past President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Design Build Institute of America DBIA.

Mr. Olmstead has personally managed over 60 successful projects in the region including the Virginia Beach Sports Center, Bauer Corporate headquarters, BlackHawk Commander Corporate Headquarters, Lake Gaston Water Treatment Plant, VIP WWTP, Ocean Beach Club II tower, OceanAire Hotel, Beechwoods resort, Virginia Zoo “Trail of the Tiger” and “Okavenga Delta” exhibits, First Naval Construction Division Headquarters (LEED PLATINUM), and the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility Data Center. Among other projects he is currently working on the Plasser American office Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility and the City of VB Renovations on Municipal buildings 1, 2, and 11.

William attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and joined MEB in 1985. With over 35 years of experience, Williams duties include serving in the capacity of Vice President, Project Manager and Estimator. Negotiating commercial design build, pre-engineered metal buildings and military construction projects are his specialties. He also manages and oversees MEB’s Equipment Division which includes heavy equipment, company vehicle fleet, full service mechanical shop and small tools department.

Wesley is MEB’s Chief Estimator, overseeing all estimating activities during the pre-construction phase of the project. He coordinates all bid packages and work scopes and receives, reviews, and recommends approval of all bids submitted by subcontractors and vendors. Wesley has been in the industry for over 20 years and has been at MEB for over 15 years. Wesley is a graduate of East Carolina University and received his degree in Construction Management.

Eric is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the College of Architecture and Urban Studies. He joined MEB General Contractors in 2005 and currently oversees the firm’s marketing and business development endeavors. Having practiced architecture for more than 10 years at number of large firms, Eric is valuable team member in the early development and pre-construction phases of a project. He is active in many industry organizations and is a past president of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Design Build Institute of America.

MEB’s Safety Director has 15+ years of experience as a full-time safety professional, all of which has been supporting or directly working on Department of Defense projects, and has an additional 12+ years of project management and/or site supervisor experience on environmental remediation and/or construction restoration projects with dual-hat safety responsibility on other federal, state or privately funded projects.

Glen has achieved the Certified Safety Professional and Construction Safety and Health Technician certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and is recognized as a Certified Workers Compensation Counselor by the Insurance Partners Academy. He maintains a strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and EM 385 1-1 requirements, and has a solid understanding of industrial hygiene worker exposure monitoring and prevention principles.

Glen has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has completed the Industrial Hygiene Certificate Program offered through the NC Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center. Glen’s safety and health experience and knowledge base provides a strong foundation to support the delivery best management practice solutions that align with safe production expectations and continued improvement goals.
