Scope Of Work
The new, 825-bed Union Street Center replaces 50-year-old dorm rooms with apartment-style units comparable to popular off-campus housing. As general contractor, Wilhelm built seven, four-story buildings constructed around courtyards on a 13-acre site. A five-story commons also provides classroom space. Union Street’s buildings are constructed of split-face Indiana ashlar limestone to reflect the collegiate Gothic style that defines IU.
