Scope Of Work
AECOM Hunt was selected as construction manager for the JW Marriott Austin – the largest JW Marriott in North America by guest rooms.
The project encompassed a 1,200,000-square-foot, 34-story hotel with a tower skin comprised of metal panels and curtainwall in addition to three levels of underground parking, five levels of public space, and 28 guest levels with a total of 1,012 guestrooms. The public space includes a junior and grand ballroom, exhibition space, two restaurants, and an outdoor pool and bar area.
The project scope included excavation adjacent to existing historic and occupied structures. was used for typical MEP coordination.
